Linda Hyder, Family Consumer Science Agent, UT Extension Sevier County, will be presenting a program called “Farmers’ Market Fresh”. This program will be held each Friday from 1 July thru 5 August, 2016 at the Servierville Downtown Farmers’ Market from 9:00 to 1:30. The objective of program is to encourage fruit and vegetable consumption by limited resource families. It is an educational program that includes: a food demonstrations with samples, children challenge activities, educational handouts etc..
Linda Hyder is asking for help from the Master Gardeners. She will need help, each Friday with setting up and taking down a booth at the farmers’ market. This will involve: setting up a canopy, chairs, a table, large cooler and a box of supplies for the program etc.
You can volunteer to set up, take down or both. If you want to stay the whole time your help will be appreciated. There will be a signup list at Mondays Master Gardeners Meeting or you can contact me; George Denton, at: 865 428 0885, or
